My CNC foam cutter is based on design published in this link.
Notebook computer sends command to CNC USB controller which drives stepper motors with PICStep drivers.
The whole process is very simple. Wing panels are designed with Profili2. G-code for 4 axis cutting is exported and loaded into CNC USB controller software. After that just press start and wait for wing to be cut. All features of Profili2 are supported.
Profili2 and CNC USB controller also support standard 3-axis machine for cutting ribs from balsa. I'm building 3-axis machine to demonstrate this.
