My three axes CNC machine. It is controlled by CNC USB controller.
Machine is made of aluminium. It is completely my design.
Everything was made with simple hand tools (except router holder was purchased on eBay and ends of lead screws were machined on mini lathe).
I used Igus DryLinW linear slides and Igus lead screws with nuts. I'm very satisfied with my decision. There is no freeplay and no backlash.
Stepper motors are from old printers. They work reasonably well. Perhaps I'll change them with stronger ones in the future.
Here are some photos that I made when I was building it and some detailed photos.
This is the first piece produced by this machine. I used the only tool that I have. Machining took 63 minutes at feed rate 750 mm/min. Material is MDF. Everything was smooth and perfect.
I used version 2009-11-18 of software and firmware.
